Actor Ruchi Gurjar complained against filmmaker on Financial Fraud
Actress Ruchi Gujjar has filed an FIR against Karan Singh Chauhan, more than a fraud of Rs 24 lakh associated with a TV serial deal. She misuses money and intimidation after asking her money back.

Actress Ruchi Gujar has filed the first Information Report (FIR) against producer Karan Singh Chauhan, accusing her of fraud, criminal violations of the trust and intimidating in a financial dispute of Rs 24 lakh. The FIR was lodged at the Oshiwara police station on July 24, 2025.
The case is related to the co-production of a Hindi television serial, where Ruchi claims that he transferred Rs 24 lakh to Karan Singh Chauhan’s firm, K Karan Singh Chauhan’s firm, studio and other accounts between July 2023 and January 2024.
Ruchi has alleged that Karan first approached him through WhatsApp, introducing himself as the creator of a Hindi serial that was set to air on Sony TV. He said, “He offered to add me as a co-producer and also sent documents related to the project.” Relying on her claims, she proceeded to transfer money to several installments.
However, Ruchi told the police that no work on the serial ever started. “Despite repeated contacts, he postponed them and lied,” he said. He also alleged that instead of using money for the serial, Karan invested money in a film called So Long Valley.
Ruchi said in his complaint, “When I came to know that the film was releasing on July 27, I asked her to return my money now, on which she started threatening me.”
The police have registered a case under sections 318 (4), 352 and 351 (2) of the Indian Judge Code (BNS).
The actress has allegedly provided detailed records of financial transactions including account number and documents in the FIR. The Mumbai Police has launched an investigation and is investigating banking transactions, call records and other relevant evidence.
