Actor Prashanth fined for violating traffic rules during interview
Actor Prashanth was fined Rs 2000 by Greater Chennai Traffic Police for not wearing a helmet during a bike interview. He later urged fans to always wear helmets for safety.

Actor Prashanth, popularly known as Top Star among fans, was fined for giving an interview on a bike without a helmet. During an interview to a regional channel, Prashanth and anchor Tara were seen talking while riding a bike. After the video went viral, users on X tagged the Chennai Traffic Police citing traffic violation.
The Greater Chennai Traffic Police took cognizance of the matter and fined him Rs 2,000 for not wearing a helmet.
Later, he shared a video for Galata Media, in which he said, “We gave an interview on a bike. You saw that we are not wearing helmets. It is just for show. But when you guys drive, please wear helmets. I have been advocating this. Since you would not be able to hear us if we were wearing helmets during the interview, we refrained from wearing helmets. Safety comes first. Wear a helmet and stay safe.”

Prashanth is quite busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Andhagan’, which is the official Tamil remake of the Hindi film ‘Andhadhun’. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release in theatres on August 15. Now the release date of the film has been postponed to August 9.

Meanwhile, Prashanth will also be seen in a key role in Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘GOAT’. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film will release on September 5.
