Actress Preeti Jhangiani, wife of actor-director Parvin Dabas, has spoken for the first time after her husband was hospitalised following a car accident. Dabas had an accident in Mumbai on Saturday morning.His last rites will be performed on September 21. Giving information about his health, he said that he will soon come out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and will be discharged in a week.

“It has been a shock and we are still trying to emotionally process it. He is usually very active and constantly talking about work, so seeing him bedridden has been difficult for the family,” Preeti Jhangiani said. Hindustan Times in an interview.

He also added, “He is not able to talk much. Thankfully, his MRI and CT scan results were clear. He will remain in the hospital for another week and will be released from the ICU soon. We will do another CT scan in three days.”

According to Jhangiani, Dabas has suffered a concussion and is experiencing symptoms like dizziness, double vision, drowsiness and nausea.

He called the accident ‘unfortunate’ and said that it happened due to the glare of the headlights. “He was driving early in the morning after working all night. He collided with the divider due to the glare of the headlights. Luckily, he was near a hospital, and two boys brought him there,” the Mohabbatein actor shared.

Jhangiani also clarified that Dabas was not driving under the influence of alcohol, as confirmed by toxicology tests. “He was not driving under the influence of alcohol, which is confirmed in the police report. Parveen is strictly against drunk driving or breaking any rules,” he concluded.

Parvin Dabas is known for her work in films like Khosla Ka Ghosla, My Name Is Khan, Monsoon Wedding, Ragini MMS 2. She was last seen in Sharmaji Ki Beti, which streamed on Prime Video.
