Actor Mukul Dev dies at the age of 54, the film fraternity pays homage

Actor Mukul Dev died on 23 May. He was in the ICU as he was not keeping well for a few days. The 54 -year -old actor has survived his brother Rahul Dev.
Vindu Dara Singh, who worked with Mukul in ‘Sardar’s son’, confirmed this news to India today. He said that Mukul will not see himself on the big screen.
“After the death of his parents, Mukul was keeping himself. He would get out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital. His brother and everyone who knew and loved him, he was a wonderful person, and we will all remember him,” Singh said.

Mukul’s friend and actor Deepshika Nagpal also posted a picture with the late actor on Instagram. Talking to India today, he shared that Mukul never talked to anyone about his health. He has a friend group on WhatsApp where he often spoke. “I woke up in the morning for this news. I have been calling his number since then, hoping he will pick up,” he said, getting emotional.

Mukul was known for his work in Hindi and Punjabi films, television serials and music albums. He also appeared in some Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films. For his performance in ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, he was awarded the 7th Amrish Puri Award for excellence in acting.
Born in Delhi, the actor started his career on TV through ‘Mumkin’, playing the role of Vijay Pandey in 1996. He also acted in a comedy Bollywood countdown show, ‘Ek Se Bud Kar EK’ of Dordorshan. She made her Bollywood debut in 1996 with Sushmita Sen with ACP Rohit Malhotra with ‘Dastak’. He was part of many other films including ‘Fort’ (1998), ‘Wajud’ (1998), ‘Koharam’ (1999) and ‘Muje Meri Bivi Se Bachao’ (2001) and more.
