Recently in a podcast, Hales made a trip under the memory lane, describing that period as one of the busiest time of his career. He also admitted to relying on energy drinks to deal with this busy program.

Hales, who played Andy Bernard on ‘The Office’, shared that the overlap took place in 2008. The actor recalled that he was already part of the NBC show when director Todd Philips cast him as a stew in ‘The Hangover’, which later became a global box office success.

In the latest episode of The Messi Podcast, the 51-year-old shared, “I worked seven days a week. Because I was cross-boarding the ‘The Office’. It was many all day of production. And then ‘The Hangover’, Bradley (Cooper) and Zach (Galifiyacis), and I am not really every three scenes.”

According to Hales, the film included a lot of night shooting. Sometimes, he used to finish ‘The Hangover’ at 4:30 pm and immediately went back to Los Angeles to make his call time for ‘The Office’.

Despite the busy schedule, the actor said he is part of two projects defined his career. Hales expressed that working on ‘The Office’ was one of the “biggest experiences” of his professional life. At the same time, he described ‘The Hangover’ as “pure bliss”.

He said, “I was honestly loved it every second. I felt that I was a part of these things that were so calm and so fun,” he said.

Apart from these projects, Helms have appeared in comedy films like ‘Sedar Rapids (2011)’, ‘Vacation (2015)’ and ‘Tag (2018)’. He has also done a voiceover for animated films like ‘The Lorax (2012)’ and ‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017)’. He further co-manufactured and acted in the Mayur series ‘Rutherford Falls’.

Earlier this year, Hales also released the Greatest Scrips of his book ‘Snafu: The Defititive Guide to Histhe’ on 29 April. Inspired by his popular podcast Snafu, the book takes a humorous look at the major blunders of history.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently working on ‘Smaj the Blades’, which is being shot in a hockey comedy-drama Canada. The film is slated for release 2026.
