The latest installment of the ‘Predator’ franchise, ‘Predator: Badlands’ has hit the theaters with a stellar opening. Released on November 7, 2025, this sci-fi action thriller opened to impressive numbers at the domestic and international box office. ‘The Gray Man’ actor Dhanush was among those who praised the film.

The National Award winning actor praised the film by sharing a message on his X handle. Dhanush wrote, “Predator – Badlands. Wow.. Just wow. A marvel.. A great tribute to the OG Predator fans.” It also reveals that Dhanush considers himself one of the “OG” fans of the ‘Predator’ franchise.

The ‘Predator’ franchise, which began with the 1987 cult classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, has become one of Hollywood’s most enduring sci-fi action sagas. Known for its iconic alien hunter and intense, survival-driven narratives, the series has spawned numerous sequels, spin-offs, and crossovers – including ‘Predator 2’ (1990), ‘Predators’ (2010), ‘The Predator’ (2018), and the prequel ‘Prey’ (2022).

Each installment has expanded the mythology of the Yautja species while experimenting with new settings and timelines. With ‘Predator: Badlands,’ the franchise continues to reinvent itself for a new generation of audiences, blending high-octane action with intense world-building. Based on the mostly positive reviews it has received, audiences are appreciating this remake.

On the work front, Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Bollywood project ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ co-starring Kriti Sanon. The film marks his reunion with director Aanand L Rai after ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Atrangi Re’. This film is going to be released in theaters on 28th November.
