Who does not like a laptop that balances portability with power? A light machine is yet easy to take around the powerful to achieve things, which is looking for most laptop buyers – or at least for the target. A balanced laptop is the best way to go about it as long as you are going to use laptops for large times of gaming, or video editing. Acer Swift 14 AI-Intell’s new core Ultra 5 processor is the same: a mild design, a graphics chip and a powerful processor with a graphics chip and A-Taiyar performance, and a vibrant OLED screen. Right now, the 16GB Plus 512GB SSD version is available on the ACER website for Rs 89,999, which makes the machine comparatively inexpensive. So is it worth it?
I tried Acer Swift 14AI with Intel Core Ultra 526V chip, for about two weeks. I used daily laptops for my office work, Netflix Bing, and even some mild photo editing. And my final decision? This laptop is good. But it’s just good.
Now, you can think that “good” is a positive decision. And, this is. But at the same time, this is not sufficient in this competitive market. And in the case of Acer Swift 14AI, there are some areas where it could perform better. Let me explain
But before that, little about glasses.
Acer Swift 14AI, as reviewed here, packs Intel’s core Ultra 526 V processor – a chip manufactured for AI functions and mild creative work – combined with integrated arch graphics. It comes with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB PCI Gen4 SSD. The display has a 14 -inch OLED screen with 1920×1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.
Then you are also getting a lot of ports – in fact, I am impressed, because the brands usually try to keep the ports at least to make the laptop smooth and light. However, Swift 14AIs include six ports, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and more.
Acer Swift 14AI Review: Design
Swift 14AI weighs about 1.28 kg, which is light, and it seems. I took the laptop to my office every day in my backpack and in my tote bags in a few days, and once I did not feel that I am taking a heavy machine inside it. In addition, the design is portable, and the laptop can also slide in a normal size shoulder bag.
About this, the laptop looks premium. It has a blue tint and an aluminum chassis. To make the laptop lightweight, Acer has trimmed the weight using some thin metal. It is strong, but it does not have the kind of perseverance that you get with something like MacBook Air. After my use – but keep in mind that I press my gadgets in a passionate way – I did not find any scratch on the shell of Swift 14AI. Although it attracts fingers, it is easy to clean. And then there is a good number of ports, which makes the work much easier.
While the laptop contains an aluminum chassis, the display contains plastic bezels, which raise slightly. I wish there were bezels metals. For their raised design, I like it because it keeps the display clean and safe when the lid stops. Overall, I find the design impressive. Swift 14AI looks premium, looks strong, all are quite light.

Acer Swift 14AI Review: Performance
OLED displays are grand. But also difficult. This is because they show porous colors, and are extremely vibrant. But their brightness is on the lower side, so as soon as these displays are very bright, they turn into a mirror.
Acer Swift 14AI has a 14-inch OLED display, which provides detailed and well-saturated images. It provides a glow of 400 nits, which I like in low light than normal, but performing in bright-light environment creates so much dazzle that working on the whole glow also stresses the eyes. I crank it into Max and still squint it while writing this review as Suraj and bright lights were behind me in my office workstation.
Also, to use laptops at home for work or to watch movies, the performance did not disappoint me. I looked at the Oscar-winner flow and even again looked at the Big Bang Theory, and the display delivery-clails pop, black.

Acer Swift 14AI Review: Performance
Ah, perform! Intel’s core Ultra 5 Chip – 226V – Inside the laptop here is a large sales point. With 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, Swift 14 AI handled my busy workflow – 30 chrome tabs, teams, canwa, AI apps, and more – easily for majority of time. The laptop also remained cool during most tasks, and fans only whispered with loudly during Windows updates or heavy multitasking.
However, in my use, I faced a lot of insects and dullness. Sometimes, while waking up from sleep mode, the laptop took some time to open a password window. At other times, it opened the app very slowly. These looked like adaptation issues because chipset is definitely sufficient for regular day-to-day work. Just to see that the chipset is not an issue, I run the Geekbench 6. 226V returned a score of over 2500 in single-core and a score of above 9000 in multicor, making it a competent chipset.
Another dull aspect of the laptop is its touchpad. As I used it, I found that it lagged behind many times. I also accommodated the cursor movement for maximum scrolling speed, but I still faced the issue sometimes. In my view, the trackpad of Swift 14AI was its least impressive aspect.

The speaker was fine. Although not extraordinary. They are enough for YouTube tutorials, but music seems somewhat flat. The laptop holds you with random biping-out sessions, but the sound will not meet high expectations, if you have any. The speakers are also firing below, so if you are someone like me, who uses a laptop on the bed while looking at it, then you will need to keep it slightly high so that the speakers are not muffed.
I liked battery life quite good. Then, not extraordinary. In my use, I found that Swift 14 Office provides a battery life of about 6-7 hours during time. Most of the days with Swift 14AI I managed to get a charger through continuous hunting without work. But I believe that for different people, mileage will be different.

Acer Swift 14AI Review: Decision
Acer Swift 14AI with Intel Core Ultra 526V is a compelling option if you are looking for a laptop that provides both portability and performance. It displays design, chipset power, and quality rights, making it a strong candidate for a general-purpose, using daily laptops. Its price is also relatively good.
However, it also comes with its proper part of the agreement, such as display brightness, which is naturally due to OLED panels, touchpad issues, topical bugs and average speakers.
And this is the agreement that prevents us from recommending the laptops with full heart. But if you are getting a good deal on it and want a light and compact laptop, it can be a useful machine in your backpack.
