Actor Abhinav Shukla criticized the NDRF, police department and government officials for being unable to save Yuvraj Mehra, whose car fell into a water-filled pit in Greater Noida. He accused the departments of being unable to do their work properly.

“It is appalling that these departments – whose sole responsibility is to rescue and protect – stood by as mere spectators. In a shocking turn of events, it was the Flipkart delivery person who showed true bravery, tying himself with a rope and entering the water to reach the boy. Ultimately, however, the rescue failed,” he added.

The actor said, “I believe the personnel involved should immediately resign. The government should reevaluate why taxpayers’ money is being invested in departments that fail to execute basic rescue operations. This is outrageous. The authorities need to improve their recruitment and training processes to ensure that those tasked with saving lives have the courage and ability to do so. If these departments cannot serve their purpose in a crisis, then their Existence itself must be questioned.”

Abhinav captioned his post, “Shame on NDRF, shame on fire department, shame on officers, you couldn’t save a small child! I wonder why your departments exist if you can’t do a basic job for which you train your whole life with taxpayers’ money! Well done to that flip-cart delivery guy who tried! @PMOIndia!…(sic).”
