Actor Jenalia Deshmukh opened up about how he was signed for ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’. During an interview recently, he remembered that actor Aamir Khan’s opportunity meeting with his actor-husband Ritish Deshmukh played his role. He also surprised how the audience did not forget him despite being away from the big screen for a long time.
In an interview with Hindustan TimesRitish said, and when Aamir suggested that I meet RS Prasanna, I auditioned for the role and I know that most actors can think, ‘Why audition after 20 years?’ But I believe this is a great way to take off a film, and I am really excited that I did so. ,
He then talked about the audience’s response to his work and said, “I did not work more for the last 10 years, maybe for friends, a song here. I did a song here and there. I did two-three films for OTT. I felt that people would forget me and I don’t think I mean. But hearing people freshly listening to that they want to see more.”
“This is a Aamir Khan film, so certainly it would have been a lot of eyeball. I did not think that somewhere in that tech, I am also present. It’s the best praise, that people want to see me more. As an actor and human being, if someone wants to see you a lot, it’s a very special place that not everyone meets,” the actor said.
The ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’ actor concluded how Word of Mouth helped in the film’s box office performance.
Deshmukh said, “The way the collection had gone only from the day of release till Sunday, it has got a lot with the word-ke-mouth. I think if you make a good film, it eventually gets about your audience.
Genelia Deshmukh will next watch the film in the film ‘Gunmaster G9’ with Emraan Hashmi. The film will mark Hashmi’s reunion with singer Himesh Reshammiya.
