Aamir Khan on Missing Ladies entry at Oscars: Proud of Kiran and her entire team

Actor-producer Aamir Khan has finally reacted to ‘Missing Ladies’ becoming India’s official entry for the 95th Academy Awards. The film, directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao, is also produced by the actor.
Aamir said in a statement, “We are all very happy with this news. I am proud of Kiran and her entire team. I would like to thank the selection committee of the Film Federation of India, who chose our film to represent India at the Oscars.”
He further added, “My heartfelt gratitude to our audiences, our media and the entire film fraternity for the love and support they have showered on ‘Missing Ladies’. Thank you to both Jio and Netflix who have been great partners to work with. I am so happy that all our hard work has paid off.”
She concluded by saying, “Thank you all. Hope Lapata Ladies will be able to win the hearts of the academy members.”

After the announcement, Kiran Rao said, “I am very happy. I did not expect to get an entry in the Oscars, because many good films have been made this year. Now we will have a chance to show this film to a larger audience. I would like to thank the audience for giving so much love to this film. I think this film has something for everyone.”
Missing Ladies stars Pratibha Ranta, Nitanshi Goyal, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam and others. The film is now streaming on Netflix.
