Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, celebs recall that makeup artist Vikram Gikwad: True Master
Popular Bollywood makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad died on Saturday. Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and many others paid tribute to him.

National Award winning makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad died on Saturday at the age of 61. After his death, Bollywood celebrities including Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Arjun Kapoor, in addition to other artists, paying tribute to Vikram Gikwad, who talk about their mastery on the craft.
Aamir Khan worked with Gikwad in ‘PK’ and ‘Dangal’. Calling himself a ‘true master of his craft’, he remembered Gaikwad with a heartfelt note on the Instagram story of Aamir Khan Productions.
“It is very sad that we say goodbye to famous makeup artist Vikram Gikwad. I was happy to work with him in films like ‘Dangal’, ‘PK’ and ‘Rang de Basanti’, to make some names. You remember Dada,” Khan said in a statement.

Ranveer Singh shared a picture of Gikwad and wrote, “Dada (SIC),”, followed by white pigeon, evil eyes, infinite and folded hand emo.
Arjun Kapoor shared a picture of Gikwad and remembered him. He posted on Instagram, “The pleasure of seeing and praising Dad together used to do our magic work. Talented stroke with a gentle soul (SIC),” he posted on Instagram.

Varun Dhawan in his memory post recalled the time of working with Gikwad in ‘Badlapur’.
He said, “I was happy to work with Vikram Gikwad sir in Badlapur. He helped me to design every detail. A true magician carried forward Indian cinema. Thank you U Dada Om Shanti (SIC),” He wrote on his Instagram story.

Vikram Gaikwad was experienced in the Indian film industry, who put his magic in Hindi, Marathi and many South Indian film industries. Some of his remarkable works include ’83’, ‘Shakantala Devi,’ Sanju ‘,’ Omkara ‘,’ Ponyin Selvan ‘,’ Balagandharva ‘.
Gikwad received the National Award for Best Makeup Artist for her work in Vidya Balan’s ‘Dirty Picture’. After his 2012 victory, he has so far won a national award for his Bengali film ‘Jatishwar’ in 2014.
