A video of iPhone 18 Pro leaked, full design and specs revealed
A leaked video hints at a redesigned iPhone 18 Pro with a smaller front cutout, camera upgrades, and Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip. Here’s everything you need to know.

A fresh leak has given iPhone fans a lot to talk about, with a new video claiming to show the full design of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and some key hardware details. Shared by Front Page Tech tipster Jon Prosser, the video teases Apple’s next big redesign move, which includes changes to the display, camera system, internals, and even color options.

At first glance the biggest change is visible. Apple has been using the pill-shaped cutout for generations, but leaked renders suggest it may eventually get smaller. According to the video, some Face ID components may be moved below the display, allowing Apple to reduce the visible cutout to a hole. Interestingly, the selfie camera is featured on the top-left corner of the screen instead of the center, which will be a noticeable visual change for longtime iPhone users.

Despite these changes, Dynamic Island is not being retired. Prosser claims it will remain part of the iPhone experience, but it will move to the upper-left corner along with the front camera. The idea seems to be to make it feel less intrusive while also retaining the familiar animations and live actions that Apple has built around it over the years. In short, the Dynamic Island lives on, but it may take up less space and attract less attention during everyday use.
On the back, the iPhone 18 Pro may get a more meaningful camera upgrade. The leak suggests that Apple is testing a variable aperture system for the main camera. Current iPhones rely heavily on software tricks to blur backgrounds and handle tricky lighting. A variable aperture will allow the lens itself to control how much light enters, resulting in more natural-looking images and better low-light photos without relying so much on processing. That said, this feature may not reach all models. According to the video, Apple may limit the variable aperture camera to the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The leak also hints at some improvements to the physical controls. Apple may replace the current capacitive camera control buttons with a simpler pressure-based mechanism. This could make the button more reliable and predictable, especially for users who like clear physical feedback when taking photos or videos.
Internally, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to see a big jump. Both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to run on Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip. Previous reports have suggested that this chip could be made on TSMC’s upcoming 2nm manufacturing process, which would already be a huge leap forward. On top of that, Apple is said to be planning a new approach to chip design by integrating RAM directly onto the same wafer as the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine.
This tight integration can bring many benefits. Performance and power efficiency improvements are expected, which will be especially important for on-device AI features under Apple Intelligence. Better thermal management is another potential benefit, and the space saved inside the phone could allow Apple to increase the battery size or improve cooling. Early estimates point to about 15 percent better performance and 30 percent greater efficiency than the previous generation, although these figures should still be taken with caution.

Another important internal change could be the long-awaited switch to Apple’s own C2 modem. Apple is working to reduce its reliance on third-party modem suppliers, and the iPhone 18 Pro may be one of the first models to fully benefit from that effort.
In terms of size and battery, the leak doesn’t reveal everything. The iPhone 18 Pro is still expected to have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max variant may come with a larger 5,100mAh battery. There is no concrete information yet about the battery capacity of the standard Pro model.
As far as colors go, the video mentions three possible new finishes: burgundy, brown, and purple. These shades will be a departure from Apple’s usual muted Pro colors and could add a little more personality to the lineup.
Of course, it’s important to remember that this is still an early leak. Apple’s plans are subject to change, and the final hardware may differ from what is shown now. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are currently expected to launch in September 2026, in line with Apple’s usual release cycle. Standard iPhone 18 models are likely to arrive later, possibly in 2027, but nothing is official yet. For now, these leaks offer an interesting look at the direction Apple is headed, but they should be taken with a pinch of salt.
