Samsung has resumed a UI 7 update for its Galaxy S24 series after a brief stagnation due to a major software bug. Update, which brought Android 15 to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, initially began to roll on 7 April, but users were pulled only a week after starting to face serious issues. Samsung has now addressed the problem and resumed the update, starting with its domestic market, South Korea. The global rollout is expected to resume soon, although not all users will receive it at the same time.
This year, Samsung’s rollout of a UI7 has been a slight rocky. Not only the beta phase was longer than normal, but it took longer to arrive. When the updates finally began to roll, it was quickly stopped due to a bug, causing major issues on users’ equipment. The issue was first found on the Korean versions of the phone, but Samsung stopped the update globally as a precaution.
Now that the bug is fixed, the company has started sending the updated version of a UI 7 again. For Galaxy S24 devices in South Korea, the new software build number comes with S928nksu4ByD9. Although it is not yet available in other regions, it is already a matter of users in the US, Europe, India and other parts of the world.
With the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is also extending a UI 7 update on its current-generation foldable phone-Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 on Special Edition. These devices drew their update for the same reason, but the rollout is now on track in Korea. Creating software for these phones involves bug fixing and improvement in general stability.
As usual, users can manually check whether the update settings> software is available to their device by visiting the update menu. Even if it has not yet come, it should be shown soon as Samsung widens the release.
A UI7 Samsung brings Android 15 to the phone, offering a more sophisticated interface, improving AI features and performing better. Just make sure that you have enough storage space before updating, as the major software upgrades are quite large.
