The couple shared how they renovated the historic house with the help of their interior designer and didn’t lose its original touch. Lily hung an old 20th Century Fox sign, which was a gift from her mother. On the other hand, Charlie hung an old clock and together they kept old children’s books, novels and fashion monographs on their shelves. Talking about old monographs, she also said that she is a fashion-loving woman.

Talking about the decor of their home, Lily describes the interior style as “mid-century California meets Scandinavian”, a philosophy that also explains the environment around her home. The home is filled with Scandinavian-inspired accents and there are a lot of similar patterns in the kitchen, from their cookbooks to the mid-century rugs. They also designed the outdoor garden, inspired by designer Piet Oudolf. The couple also revealed how fascinated they are with Nordic culture and have refinished the concrete floors in the home, with a Bonsai tree at the entrance of their home that epitomizes perfection.

Lily Collins’ Los Angeles home is a great example of historic architecture and modern touches.
