Indian marriages are a grand affair. From grand decoration to lip-smoking diversity, every element celebrates culture and tradition. For foods, the wedding ceremonies are nothing short of a culinary experience. Delicious start, rich curry and deadly desserts often forget their calorie intake to guests. But, recently, a person attended an Indian wedding, where the food menu came with supernatural details. In addition to each food item, the count of calories was mentioned, which allowed guests to choose their dishes wisely. Yes, you read that right. The person shared a picture of the menu card on Reddit.

The menu came with a message, which wrote, “Welcome to the charity hall for this festival evening. However, we are here to celebrate L&T (Love and Together), we are not in any 90-hour work agenda. So, please make ourselves comfortable and enjoy the dinner without wasting food, which will soon enjoy the dinner.” Below, their calorie content was a list of objects with content.
Total average energy intake was added up to 1200 kg of calories, of which salads and sauce included 10 kg of calories simultaneously, while Paneer Pasanda was packed in 100 kg. Rumli Roti contributed to 80 kcal, dal Makhni came in 60 kg, Mushroom Masala had 90 kcal in Masala and 110 kcal in cumin rice. Pomfret Jhal was filled with 110 kcal and Mutton Kosha had 160 kcal. On the other hand, vegetarian options such as Pochl Dolma (stuffed gourd) and ikor (jackfruit) curry formed 20 kg and 50 kcal respectively.
Now, let’s take a look at the calorie count for the sweet list: Mango Chutney offered 10 kg, Papad chased with 20 kg, Baked Rasgullas had 160 kcal in the rasgullas, and Sandesh was a minor on 30 kcal, in which mouses topped the chart.
The menu ended with words, “You might think we are calorie-conscious. No way! But not catching all carbs is good. So, let’s hit the dance floor and burn some calories!”
