Avengers: Endgame, the 2019 blockbuster, is arriving in theaters as a re-release ahead of the upcoming December premiere of the latest MCU installment, Avengers: Doomsday. Although this is public information, having been revealed long ago, a new update comes from CinemaCon, where global projects gathered for updates and first looks, as well as the release of new teasers. It has been confirmed that the re-release in September will be accompanied by new footage from the upcoming Doomsday film.
New footage from Avengers: Doomsday will accompany the re-release of Avengers: Endgame
A pleasant update for Marvel fans was revealed at Walt Disney Studios’ presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared that with the re-release of Avengers: Endgame on September 25, 2026, audiences will also get a glimpse of some never-before-seen footage from the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film.
It was also confirmed that both films would be made available in Infinity Vision, which is said to be a new, premium format for the movie watching experience. Billed as the biggest, brightest and most immersive cinematic experience, the certification will be issued for big-screen theaters. Awaiting more updates.
According to DEADLINE, the same presentation also revealed a new clip where Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers makes a grand return after the star exited in 2019. The good guys bring together Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and a group of superheroes including the Thunderbolts, Namor (Tennoche Huerta), the Black Panthers, Gambit (Channing Tatum), the Fantastic Four, and Magneto (Ian McKellen) to confront Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, who was also present.
Due to clash at the box office with Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three, Avengers: Doomsday will hit screens on December 18.
