Actor Bobby Deol has revealed that the death of his father, legendary actor Dharmendra, has brought him closer to his half-sisters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. The 57-year-old, still struggling with grief, admitted that there are days when he wishes he had spent more time with his father.

Family relations after Dharmendra’s death
After Dharmendra’s death, Bobby saw a sense of maturity in his sons. They noticed that they were more aware of the fragility of life and were spending more time together. He also shared that the shared grief has brought him closer to Isha and Ahana.
She said, “I think we’re all dealing with it in our own ways. Sometimes you misunderstand each other because you’re hurting. Everyone thinks their pain is greater than the other’s. But you give it time. Let it heal. Loss has its own way of bringing a family closer.”
‘I wish I sat with him more’

Reflecting on his grief, the actor said, “There are all these days when I wish I had sat with him more. I wish I had asked him more questions. Now more than ever, I am conscious of being with my sons, my wife and my family.”
Bobby said that box office numbers, reviews and roles ultimately don’t matter and true success lies in spending time with loved ones. He further raised the question what is the value of fame and fortune if there is no one to share it with.
He said, “You know, I keep watching his Reels on Instagram. He was so candid, so warm. Sometimes it felt like he was talking directly to me.”
