Kovid Hidden Damage: How the virus is risking the hearts of women
A new study suggests that Covid-19 accelerates vascular aging, increasing the risk of heart disease in women. Doctors make timely screening and lifestyle changes to prevent long -term heart damage.

In short
- Kovid -19 causes arterial inflammation for heart disease in women
- Women’s immune response may cause vascular damage-coved
- Symptoms such as fatigue are often wrong for stress or aging
Especially among Indian women, heart diseases have suddenly increased. The collapse of women’s viral videos, leaving dead, school falling in school have surprised us, what is going wrong – why are women suddenly having heart disease?
As a suspect, Covid-19 is to be convicted.
A study published in the European Heart Journal indicates that Kovid not only attacked the lungs, quietly attacked your arteries, causing dangerous swelling and hardness that could cause heart attack, stroke and lifetime damage.
The study was conducted in 16 countries, including 2,400 participants, half of which were women.
What a terrible? This damage often shows no clear symptoms at the first time – just subtle signs such as abnormal fatigue, chest tightness, or shortness of breath that dismisses as ‘just stress’ or ‘growing up’.
But behind the curtain, the hearts of women are being compromised in the ways that doctors are just understanding.
Kovid has left behind a heart heritage: expert
Dr. According to Mukesh Goel, senior advisor, cardiothoresic and cardiovascular surgery, heart and lung transplant surgery, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Kovid -19 have surpassed a heart heritage that is well extended beyond acute infection.
“This new study, which highlights that Covid-19 can accelerate vascular aging for five years, is especially important in women, deeply important. Blood vessels are the lifeline of the heart and body, and their rigidity or premature aging is closely linked to risks such as high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke.”
The striking is that women, who were considered some natural protection against vascular aging due to hormones like estrogen, seem to be more insecure in the co-kovid phase, especially if they suffer from long covered symptoms such as breath and fatigue.
Dr. Brajesh Kumar Mishra, Hod and Consultant, Cardiology, Manipal Hospita, say that a possible cause of this difference between men and women lies in the immune system. Women usually have a sharp and strong immune response, which helps protect them from infection.
“However, this height response can also cause more damage to the blood vessels after the initial infection,” Dr. Mishra says.
What is vascular aging?
Vascular aging essentially means that the elastic nature of the arteries decreases, making the heart difficult to pump blood.
“In a person who already has covid-19, it can increase the risk of heart disease, even in people who were otherwise healthy before the infection. It outlines the importance of regular heart screening for subsequent Kovid patients-Raktchap, cholesterol levels, blood sugar and where needed, check for vandal health assessment,”.
Experts agree that Covid-19 was not just a respiratory infection, it also affected the heart.
Do not dismiss symptoms
Rejecting symptoms can lead to long -term results for heart and vascular health.
Patients, especially women, should be taken seriously instead of rejecting them as fatigue or stress.
Timely intervention of time -style such as balanced diet, exercise and medical follow -up can lead to a long way to reduce these risks.
“As physicians, our role is to raise awareness that the effect of epidemic on heart and blood vessels can be quietly revealed, and today vigilance can prevent major heart events today,” Dr. Goel underlined.
Preventive screening and immediate medical intervention can save the life of patients, especially women.
