Voltas Q1 Results: Profit reduces 58% to 140 million

On Friday, Air Conditioning Maker and Engineering Services provider Waltas Limited reduced its integrated net profit by 58 percent in the June quarter, as the inconsistent rainfall and the early arrival of monsoon affected the cooling business.

According to the regulatory filing from the Tata Group Firm, it had to pay Rs. Posted a unified net profit of Rs 335 crore.

    The company’s revenue declined by 20.22 per cent to 3,912.29 crore in the June 26 quarter of FY 26. In the period before the year, there were Rs 4,903.91 crore.

    “The quarter was marked by inconsistent and unexpected weather conditions. The summer was delayed, the temperature was relatively relaxed, and the season was suddenly expired due to the early monsoon, especially in the air conditioner,” Waltas said in a statement.

    This effect was further pronounced by the exceptionally high -rise base in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, which benefited from the rigid and prolonged summer of the record sales.

    Voltas’ total costs were down 16.11 percent in the April-June quarter of FY 26.

    Its total revenue, including other income, was up 4,020.65 crore below 19.6 percent.

    In the June quarter, Voltas’s income from “Comfort and Commercial Use for Comfort and Commercial Use”, which has a room AC business, fell 24.57 percent to Rs. 2,867.86 crore. It was Rs 3,802.17 crore in the relevant period in the last financial year.

    “The unit was faced with the onset of summer delays, relatively mild temperatures, and early arrival of monsoon in the Unitie Cooling Products Segment.”

    Trade partners made inventory in anticipation of strong demand, but led to slow -tech and elevated stock levels due to soft secondary sales, causing temporary arrangements in factory operations.

    “To maintain the pace of the market, Voltas intensified its efforts to operate secondary sales through promotional activities, which put a little pressure on the margin.”

    Revenue from “electro-mechanical projects and services”, including domestic and international projects, has increased by Rs 921.83 crore in the June quarter by 2.87 per cent.

    “Implementation in domestic and international geographicals remained on track, and timely certificates and periodic project evaluations helped ensure margin stability, while strengthening operational efficiency due to continuous cost control.”

    Its revenue from engineering products and services was below 15.8 percent. 921.83 crore.

    Voltas Limited’s share on BSE is Rs 1,300.30.
