Archel IPO: To Reduce Avenue, SBI, to exit the GIC Affiliate

Archel Limited will sell the total amount of 10.54 crore shares in New York -based Avenue Capital Group, State Bank India F India (SBI), Lath Investment of Singapore’s Lath Investment and Federal Bank in India.

The company filed its draft Red Harring Prospectus (DRHP) on Saturday with the Securities and Exchange Board India F India (SEBI). In the company. Avenue with 69.7373% equity will sell 87.8787 crore shares, reducing its share by 48..57% while SBI will sell 5.9474% shares.

Another bank shareholder Federal Bank will sell 10 lakh shares to reduce it to 0.95% 1.27%. The entire issue is the offer fur to sell by existing shareholders in which no fresh shares have been offered.

IIFL Capital, IDBI Capital and JM Financial are bankers on this issue.

Created in 2002, Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited was the first asset reconstruction company in India, which was endorsed by banks like IDBI Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank. Currently Avenue and SBI are identified as the promoters of the company, together with 89.68% shares.

Arsil has been in operation for more than two decades. Over the years, banks have been out of the arc mostly selling on Avenue.

In 2022, Avenue Capital acquired 44.6% in the company from ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank and ICICI Home Finance for consideration of about 40 840 crore.

Arsil is currently the second largest in terms of wealth under Management (AUM) Emering ARCS with Rs 15,230.031 crore. It receives management fees/ trusteeship fees, portfolio redover procurement fees, income from investments and back to writing.

IDBI Bank has sold its 19.18%, ICICI Bank 13.26% while ICICI Bank’s Housing Finance made it Rs 2.26%. Shared in 58, which is Rs. 48 Premium Rs. There is 10 face value.

Punjab National Bank was the latest for selling 10% of its stake in March 2023 for Rs 60.53. It is still to be seen that the shareholders have decided to sell their stake.

In the year ended March 2025, the revenue from Arsil’s performance was Rs. Profit was Rs 596.42 crore after tax of Rs 355.31 crore.

As of March 2025, the total main DEBT in the total main Debt is Rs. 38,155.63 crore or at a cost of 52.51% of the total main Debt.
