The Tamil film industry has recently watched some films hitting the big screen. As we enter August, there are some films here that are expected to start streaming on various OTT platforms.
5 new Tamil films are expected to be released on OTT in August 2025
1. love marriage

Love marriage is a romantic family drama with Vikram Prabhu’s lead role. The film stars Ram’s story, a 33 -year -old graduate, who is struggling to find a match for himself.
Amidst social expectations, Ram is finally getting married, only delayed for this, causing chaotic situations. Does she manages to tie the knot, and what challenges she faces that creates the whole story.
According to a report by OTT trackers on X, the film will debut for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film is the Tamil remake of the Telugu Flick Ashok Vanmalo Arjun Kalyanam.
2. Phoenix

Phoenix is a sports action drama, in which Surya Vijay Sethupathi has played as the lead in its debut venture. The popular stunt director ‘Anal’ written by Arsu has a young wrestler, Surya, a story of Surya, and his fight to survive in a teenageor is on his life.
Why he is being targeted, and who was imprisoned Surya, made the whole story. While an official update is yet to be left, the film is expected to start streaming in August.
3. Oho Antan Baby

Oho Entron Baby is a romantic drama with an ambitious filmmaker, Ashwin’s story. In the hope of making it big in life, he contacts actor Vishnu Vishal to narrate a story.
Taking inspiration from his life, Ashwin makes a story based on his love life. The film was officially announced to stream on Netflix after its dramatic run.
4. Ban butter jam

Ban Butter Jam is a Tamil-language romantic comedy drama, in which Bigg Boss Tamil fame Raju Jaymohan played the lead role. The film has the story of two mothers, who bands together to secure the future of their gene Z children, whose marriage and relationships are talked about, then there are different plans.
5. Pathranthu Po

Paratranthu Poi is a Tamil Musical Road Comedy that presents Tamiz Padam Fame Shiva in the lead role. Written, co-made, and directed by prominent director Ram tells the story of a loving bond between a father, financial conflicts and a father with his stubborn son.
As they leave the city’s tension behind for road travel together, taking them on a life -changing journey becomes the central focus of the film. The official confirmation about its streaming platform was made by its social media handle, in which the last date was not yet made.
