Directed by Ravi Chopra, Baghban featured Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead roles. The 2003 film saw Big B play the role of Raj Malhotra and Hema play his onscreen wife, Pooja Malhotra.

The story revolves around Raj and Pooja, an elderly couple in their 40s who have four sons Ajay, Sanjay, Rohit and Karan, played by Aman Verma, Sameer Soni, Sahil Chaddha and Nasirr Khan. When Raj retires, conflicts arise and the couple separates as neither of them wants to take care of both parents together.

Raj and Pooja also have an adopted son Alok, played by Salman Khan. The couple pays for his education and loves him like their own son. Alok, who becomes successful, meets them one day and learns about the abuse they face. Alok takes his parents home and takes care of them along with his wife Arpita (played by Mahima Chaudhary).

Babul, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Rani Mukerji, Salman Khan and John Abraham, was released in 2006. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a rich businessman named Balraj Kapoor in the film. Hema Malini played his on-screen wife Shobhana.

Salman Khan was cast in the role of his son Avinash, who returns to India after completing his education and joins his father’s business.

Avinash falls in love with Rani Mukerji’s character Malvika aka Milli. Milli’s childhood friend Rajat (played by John Abraham) falls in love with her. Avinash and Milli get married and the couple welcomes their son Ansh.

The story takes a turn when Avinash dies in a road accident, leaving Milly devastated. Balraj tries to get his daughter-in-law married again to Rajat. However, Shobhana opposes his decision. In the climax, Balraj convinces everyone to get Milly and Rajat married.

God Tussi Great Ho starring Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra was released in 2008. Directed by Rumi Jaffrey, this 2008 film also featured Sohail Khan in a supporting role. Amitabh Bachchan was cast in the role of God in the film.

The film revolves around Salman’s character Arun Prajapati, who wants to become a TV anchor and often blames God for his unsuccessful life. Arun is deeply in love with famous TV anchor Alia Kapoor (Priyanka Chopra).

One day, Amitabh Bachchan in the form of God appears before Arun and gives him divine powers for 10 days. Arun thinks he can fix his life by using these powers. He misuses his power, leading to hilarious situations. Meanwhile, he also learns the meaning of responsibility, love and happiness.

Pooja teaches Prem a lesson with the help of his friend Lakhan (played by Anil Kapoor) and his wife Lovely (played by Tabu). Saif Ali Khan was cast in the role of Rupali’s ex-boyfriend Deepak. Amitabh Bachchan played a cameo role in the film.

5. Hello brother

The 1999 action film Hello Brother, directed by Sohail Khan, starred Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Arbaaz Khan in the lead roles. Arbaaz played a police officer named Vishal who is shot by Shakti Kapoor’s character, a tycoon named Khanna. He survives after a heart transplant.

Vishal investigates the tycoon’s drug racket with the help of the spirit of his donor Hero (played by Salman Khan). Rani Mukerji was cast as Rani. Hero is in love with Rani but she considers him her good friend.

Rani and Vishal fall in love with each other. Hero doesn’t like this but later they become good friends. Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to narrate the story as God in the film.
