If you are a fan of cooking or baking, you will understand that it is incredibly satisfying about cooking fresh bread or rolling homemade rotis. Stimulation of working with flour, feeling the change in its texture in your hands, and turning it into an ideal dish is unbeatable. But there is a small problem. If you have ever kneaded the dough, you know the disappointment of sticking to your fingers and refusing to stop. Here are 5 easy hacks to remove sticky flour from your fingers:

1. Use dried flour

The dough is not just to make flour; This is also the key to keeping it clinging to your hands. If you cover your fingers with stubborn flour, sprinkle a little dry flour on them. Gently rub your hands together, and you will see that the dough will start loosening. Dry flour absorbs excess moisture, making it easier to close the dough. Just be careful not to use it over, because too much can make too much flour hard and dry.

2. Some oil slap

If you want to keep your hands completely flour-free from the beginning, a light coat of oil can be very useful. Just rub a few drops of vegetable or olive oil on your palms before handling the dough. Oil creates a barrier between your skin and flour, prevents it from sticking. Even if your hands are already sticky, a little oil on them can help break the dough and remove it from your fingers.

3. Add cold water

While you may think that hot water can quickly remove the dough from your fingers, this is quite opposite. Heat with hot water activates gluten, causing the dough to become even more sticky. Instead, rinse your hands under cold water. Cold-water firms raise the dough, making it easier to remove. If necessary, use a soft rubbing motion under the water stream or use a damp cloth to wipe the residue.

4. Stop it

If you are still struggling to remove the last bits of the dough, a quick DIY scrub may come to your rescue. Take a spoon of sugar or salt and rub it like a natural exfolient between your palms. The granules help in breaking the sticky flour and removes it without any trouble. The best thing is that your hands will feel super soft later-so this is a win!

5. Let it dry

If everything else fails, and you are not in a hurry, let the dough dry on your hands for a few minutes. Once it becomes slightly rigid, you can rub your hands, and dry bits will fall. It may seem useless, but we believe, sometimes patience is important. Be sure to clean the bus before it is rock-hired.
