Hum Aapke Hain Kaun starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit is a cult classic film of Hindi cinema. It was Sooraj Barjatya’s second directorial venture.
Salman Khan played the role of a bubbly guy named Prem and Madhuri Dixit played the role of a cheerful and happy-go-lucky girl named Nisha.
The story revolves around Prem and Nisha, who meet each other at their siblings’ wedding. Nisha’s sister Pooja, played by Renuka Shahane, marries Prem’s brother Rajesh, played by Mohnish Bahl. While love blossoms between Prem and Nisha, a tragedy strikes between the two families. Pooja, who learns about Prem and Nisha’s love, falls down the stairs. She dies in the hospital, leaving behind her child.
Both Prem and Nisha give up on their love. Madhuri’s character Nisha agrees to marry Rajesh, complicating the relationship between the two families.
