34 -year -old Kannada actor Santosh went to 34 after battling Balaj Jaundice

The Kannada film industry is facing a state of mourning as Santosh Balraj died on 5 August 2025. Sandalwood actor was 34 years old when he breathed his last at a private hospital in Bangalore.

Santosh Balraj died in a private hospital in Bengaluru

According to several reports, Santosh Balraj breathed his last at 9:45 am on Tuesday. The actor is said to have suffered from jaundice for several weeks, during which the infection spread throughout his body easily.

The actor is said to have been downhill in the last weeks, and finally, he was shifted to the ICU. However, quick medical attention could not save him and eventually led his death.

Who is Santosh Balraj?

Santosh Balaj is a Kannada actor and is the son of Annakal Balraj, a producer in Sandalwood Cinema. His father controlled films like Karia 2, Karia and Jackpot.

The actor’s father passed away at the age of 64 on May 15, 2022 after joining an accident. The manufacturer was killed by a motorbike rider while crossing the road after using the ATM.

The collision caused a serious head injury to the filmmaker, resulting in he finally died. The bike rider escaped from the accident place. Now, 3 years after his death, Ekla’s son Santosh has also passed away.

Santosh was unmarried and had been living with his mother for many years.

Santosh Balraj’s films

Santosh Balraj made his debut in the year 2009 with the film Kampa in cinema. The film by his father was an action thriller, with actors like Sai Dhanshika, Pradeep Rawat, Avinash and more.

Between 2012-2013, Santosh appeared in films like Olavina Ole and Janma. While earlier met with mixed reviews, Janma was severely appreciated.

Later, he appeared in a lead role for a gangster flick named Gamph. His last film was Karia 2, which was released in 2017. The film was a standalone sequel of Karia (2003), with Darshan Thogudeep in the head.
