New Tamil films on OTT this week
1. tests
- Cast: R. Madhavan, Siddharth, Nayantara
- Release date: 4 April
Test is an upcoming Tamil film in which Nayantara, R. Madhavan and Siddharth are starring. Directed by S. Sasikant, it is ready to release on Netflix and follows the journey of a scientist, a teacher and a cricketer because his life is interacted at a critical point. Built under YNOT Studio, the artists also include Meera Jasmine.
R. who plays the role of Saravanan. Madhavan talked about his role and the theme of the film’s perseverance and sacrifice. He also expressed enthusiasm about the project and said that he was ready for the audience’s response.
2. Kingston
- Cast: GV Prakash Kumar, Divyabharati, Nithin Satya, Azham Perumal
- Release date: 4 April (Temporary)
Kingston, a Tamil fantasy horror film, was released in theaters on March 7. Directed by Kamal Prakash, the film received mixed reviews, but GV Prakash Kumar’s performance was out. The film is expected to stream on Zee5 from this week, although official confirmation is awaited.
The story revolves around Kingston, a young man from a coastal village where fishing has been banned. The determination to highlight the truth, he leaves for the sea with his friends, only to face unexpected hazards and hidden mysteries.
3. Foot piece
- Cast: Yogi Babu, Manikandan, VTV Ganesh
- Release date: March 28
The 2025 Tamil Comedy Drama Leg Peace had a decent dramatic run despite high expectations and a talented artists. However, the film, which is known for a mixture of humor and drama, is now streaming on tentcotta.
It follows four strangers who suddenly become millionaires throughout the night. As they adjust to their new lifestyle and face unexpected challenges. Just when they start hugging their fate, a surprising turn shows that their wealth is never real, they are left in shock and despair.
