According to reports, the name of the opponent will also be converted into edited version. The character, earlier called Balraj Bajrangi, will now be called Baldev. The censor board has also asked the manufacturers to remove the name of Union Minister Suresh Gopi and to remove the context of the National Investigation Agency.
The certificate also mentions that a vehicle playing some religious symbols has been removed from the edited version. Another sequence in which a woman was being assaulted has also been cut off.
Earlier, producer Antony Permbavur had said that the cut was voluntarily built by the team, not due to some political pressure: “These changes were not made of fear. We are part of the society, and we never intend to make films that hurt people.”
L2: Ampuran released in theaters on 27 March amid a large -scale expectation. Apart from Prithviraj and Mohanlal, the roles starring in Impuran include Abhimanyu Singh and Manju Warrier.
