Bollywood star John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra starrer Dhoom turns 20 today i.e. on August 27. The film proved to be a milestone in the actors’ careers and it gave them a much-needed hit at that time. John had earlier revealed how producer Aditya Chopra approached him to play the villain’s role.

Speaking to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, the actor shared, “Aditya Chopra envisioned the character to be calm, composed and composed. A bad guy, but, a very nice guy. He would always tell me, ‘Listen, you are the only person who can make even the bad look good. So just play your role, be calm.’ Even my character in Pathan was like that.”

In the same interview, John also revealed if his character Kabir would return to the franchise in the future.

“I also thought he would come back, maybe if Aditya (Chopra) changes his mind about it, then maybe I could come back. It was a very different film based on motorbikes etc. I think the film was also named Dhoom because of the sound that comes from the bike. I have some good memories related to the film. With this, everything changed, my career started taking off after this,” John said.

Apart from John Abraham, Dhoom also featured actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu. It was a hit both commercially and critically.
