Shahrukh Khan and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha joined hands for the first time in the superhero film Ra.One. As the 2011 film turned 13, the director took to social media to express his gratitude towards King Khan who taught him a lot. He also thanked the millions of fans who watch the film even years after its release.
A few hours ago, Anubhav Sinha took to his Instagram to post an unseen picture with Shah Rukh Khan from the sets of his film Ra.One. In the image, Shahrukh was seen all set to perform a stunt under the supervision and guidance of his director, who also wrote the film. On completion of 13 years of the film, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude and wrote that the film and Shahrukh taught him a lot. Sinha captioned the photo, “Forever grateful to this film and this man. Both of them taught me a lot. It’s been thirteen years. Glad people still celebrate the film. #RaOne #SRK Thanks team. Love you all.”

Soon after, fans of the film and the superstar took to the comments section and showered their love on her. One user commented, “Ra-One was way ahead of its time,” while another wrote, “There was such a good animation and hero movie 13 years ago.” A third wanted to know when part 2 of the film is coming. He said, “The whole nation wants to know when Part 2 is coming and it is a very important question for Shah Rukh fans including me.” According to another user, “Except for the glamor elements, this movie was stylish and very fitting for a sci-fi action movie. Great job.” Another fan said, “The creativity of this film ahead of its time is a testament in itself.”
For the unaware, the 2011 superhero film Ra.One was bankrolled by SRK and Gauri Khan under their banner Red Chillies Entertainment. Along with Khan in a dual role, it also starred Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Armaan Verma, Shahana Goswami, Tom Woo, Dalip Tahil and Satish Shah as supporting characters. The film also won several awards including the National Film Award for Best Special Effects.
