‘120 Bahadur’: Farhan Akhtar returns to acting, will play the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC
Farhan Akhtar has announced his return to acting with the film ‘120 Bahadur’ based on the battle of Rezang La. He will play the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC in the film.

Farhan Akhtar has announced his next film. The film titled ‘120 Bahadur’ will mark Akhtar’s return to acting. He will play the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC and the film will depict the Battle of Rezang La and the Indo-China War of 1962. He will also produce the film under the banner of Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani.
Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “It is an absolute privilege to bring to you the story of Major Shaitan Singh PVC and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment.” Akhtar further wrote, “Famously known as the Battle of Rezang La, fought on 18 November 1962 during the Indo-China War, it is a story of remarkable courage, valour and selflessness shown by our men in uniform against all odds.”

Farhan Akhtar also revealed that the shooting of the film has begun today i.e. 4th September and said, “We are grateful to the Indian Army for their support in bringing this incredible story of valour to the screen. We are going to make this film from today with all humility and utmost respect for the people we represent.” The team is currently shooting in Ladakh.
The film will be directed by Rajneesh ‘Raji’ Ghai, who previously directed ‘Dhaakad’ starring Kangana Ranaut.
