Must read

There’s a lot going on in 2024. With theaters expected to be a success this year, some of the most anticipated films are lined up for their premiere sooner or later. Although the box office hasn’t performed very well at first, there is a ray of hope from upcoming films like Deadpool and Wolverine, which has become the most anticipated Marvel movie.

These are the 10 movies you cannot miss in July 2024:

deadpool and wolverine

Marvel’s most anticipated and much-awaited movie Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26. It is definitely one of the biggest releases of July and the year. With heavy promotion and a massive production, Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to make a big splash at the box office.

This possibility stems from the return of the X-Men’s iconic character Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman. The Australian star, although he retired from the role after 2017’s Logan, teaming up with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool would make many Marvel fans’ dreams come true.

It is the only Marvel film to be released this year.

i am despicable 4

The franchise that needs no description, Despicable Me 4, is just days away from its release on July 3. Even though it’s quite close to the premiere, very little is known about the plot of the fourth sequel.

A trailer was released in late January that showed Gru living a happy life with his three girls, his spy partner-turned-wife and baby. And of course, even Minions.

In Despicable Me 4, a new villain breaks out of prison and is ready to kill everyone. The fourth sequel appears to follow a story similar to Pixar’s The Incredibles, with Gru taking on the villains while wearing a baby mask.

According to IGN, Steve Carell is back to voice supervillain Gru, joined by Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Miranda Cosgrove and Steve Coogan.

Maxine

The X Trilogy will conclude with its third installment, Maxine, which hits theaters on July 5. Starring Mia Goth, this slasher revolves around adult star Maxine Minx as she pursues her Hollywood career but is threatened by a killer who targets big screen stars. The film is directed by Ti West and also stars Halsey, Elizabeth Debicki, Lily Collins, Moses Sumney and Sophie Thatcher.

Universal has described the film as a “new chapter” of the original film and it is directed by Minari director Lee Isaac Chung.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F

The fourth sequel in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, Axel F, premieres July 3 on Netflix.

Star Eddie Murphy returns as fan-favorite Detroit police officer Axel Foley, determined to solve all the crimes and mysteries in Beverly Hills.

Directed by Mark Molloy, the film will see Murphy’s Axel working alongside old and new friends on the police force. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kevin Bacon are new additions to the cast, while Judge Reinhold and John Ashton return as their original characters.
