Speaking on the theme ‘Yoga Bhagwan Rose’ (Yoga fixes yoga), the yoga guru underlined that transforming benefits can be done within a few minutes of daily practice.
He began reminiscent of the natural link between yoga and human health.
He said, “Yoga is connected to our body. No one wants to do age rapidly. Everyone wants to do anti-aging yoga. I am reaching 60, but people aged 25-30 years cannot compete with me,” he laughed and praised the hall.
Simple daily practice
According to Ramdev, dedicating only five minutes a day can help maintain fitness. He advised that “everyone should do Suryanamskar every day for two minutes.”
For those who live late, they recommended to practice Bhasrika for five minutes and exhale. He insisted, “Sleep early and get up early, it’s best.”
Pay attention to natural health
The yoga guru strongly discouraged dependence on drug. “A lot of money is wasted on medicine. Yoga is my priority,” he said.
He warned against synthetic medicines, saying, “Synthetic drugs cut our energy. These are against our natural cell memory.” Instead, he encouraged people to stop fasting, walk, run and embrace yoga.
Diet, also, was an important subject. “People have stopped eating good things. Eat ghee, drink milk, do not eat junk food. Do not depend on medicines,” they urged.
Yoga for common diseases
Throughout his session, Baba Ramdev performed different postures for specific circumstances.
For obesity and abdominal fat, he suggested regular yoga practice with ‘Hanuman Bathk’. He demonstrated ‘Mercat Ausan’ and ‘Bhujang Asana’ for back pain, and recommended ‘Manduk Asan’ and ‘Couples’ for diabetes.
A call to the youth
Ramdev ended his session with a vision for the nation.
“There is now awareness about health in India. Youth should pledge to prioritize health to make India a developed country by 2047,” he said, inspired the audience, mixed humor with knowledge.
