Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2023 film Dream Girl 2 celebrates its first anniversary today (August 25) and on the occasion, the actor has shared a fun video. The film was Khurrana’s biggest opening and was directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. Through his latest video, the actor has expressed gratitude for his iconic character of Pooja.
In the fun clip, Ayushmann receives a surprise box with Puja items, only to get a call from another Puja who is selling credit cards! Hearing this, Khurana says, “No matter how many names there are, this is the only real Puja.” Watch the video here:-
Several users took to the comments section and gave their reactions to the video. Many also hoped that this is the announcement of the third part of the film. One user commented, “Ahh I thought we were going to see Dream Girl 3 soon.” Another said, “The way to become a mummy effortlessly from daddy is a little easier AK.” A third said, “Is this a hint from daddy for Dream Girl 3????” A fourth said, “Woh ek wink se phir dil ka phone baj gaya ufff.”
Ayushmann Khurrana, in an official statement, admitted that the love and appreciation for Dream Girl 2 is indeed heartening for him. He said, “This film will always hold a special place in my heart, not only because of the success it has received but also because of the happiness it has spread amongst people. As an actor, if you can instill a sense of joy in your audience and bring a smile to their faces, I think that’s half the job done, and that’s exactly what Dream Girl 2 has done.”
Dream Girl 2 was a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl which also starred Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raj, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Seema Pahwa. The film revolves around a man who disguises himself as a woman by cross-dressing and finds himself amidst a lot of chaos and confusion.
Ayushmann will now be seen in Border 2 with Sunny Deol.
