Actor Sonu Sood has urged passengers to be kind and patient towards Indigo Airlines employees. In a recent video message, Sood addressed the importance of maintaining politeness and understanding, especially in situations where delays can cause frustration for passengers.

Sood shared his message through an X video and directly appealed to the public to remain calm and polite during their interactions with airline staff. He also mentioned about his family traveling on the same flight and waiting for about five hours.

Many people could not attend weddings, meetings and fares were cancelled. But it is sad to see how people were shouting at the ground staff.”

He further added, “I know it gets frustrating and you vent out your anger. But please understand yourself in their position who are helpless and unaware of the program. They are just giving you the same message that the seniors have told them. The way people reacted and were fighting is very unfortunate. It is the service industry employees who always take care of us with a smile on their faces.”

The actor concluded, “I think it is also our responsibility to support them when they are in trouble. It is not their fault but a systemic problem. I think as responsible citizens we should ensure that we do not react. They are helpless and have no answers. Please try to remain calm and control your anger. When millions watch movies where men slap before confessing, chase before making love, yell before apologizing, and women magically fall into line – are we surprised when real-world behavior mirrors this cinematic obsession?

Bollywood clearly knows that healthy love stories work too: outing (2016), almost single single (2017), Piku (2015), Congratulations (2018), Rocky and Rani’s love story (2023) — all done with charm and sincerity. So is toxicity really the secret recipe or just a lazy shortcut?

Here’s some material to consider, especially for those who cheer every time an obsessive lover comes on screen: Love that needs someone to break down to prove itself is not love, it’s ego – nothing more, nothing less.

Bollywood may keep selling that fantasy, but there is nothing remotely heroic in romanticizing dominance as a desire. And while the long-standing debate is about understanding that ‘no means no’, it’s time our heroes stop taking ‘no’ as a challenge and start hearing it as a complete sentence.

Wouldn’t this be real bravery? Finally seeing real men on screen – understanding, nuanced, positive and wonderfully non-toxic – keeping romance alive without red flags.
